House-Museum Gala-Dali Castle in Pubol

The Gala-Dali Castle in Pubol is a medieval building that Dali bought in 1969 in order to transform it into a place for his wife Gala to rest and be safe. Throughout the years, the space was transformed until it became, from 1982 until 1984, the last workshop for Salvador Dali and the mausoleum for his muse. The castle was really deteriorated when the Dali family bought it, but the couple fell in love with the cracks in the walls and the semi-wild garden, and so they decided to keep the romantic feel of the place in its restoration. The result is a closed, mysterious, private, austere and sober place, with really beautiful areas, like the old kitchen converted into a bath for Gala or the piano room.

The visit is on your own and it costs 8 euros (reduced price at 6 euros for students, people older than 65 years and groups of more than 30 people, and it’s free for children under 8 years old).
