The scenic rice route in Pals
The “Xiulet” of Pals is known as “El Tren de l’Arròs”, and it is a small train, similar to the “Carrilet” of l’Estartit, which allows you to see the beauty of the rice growing and Pals
The scenic rice route takes the “Xiulet” passengers to the Pals marsh, visiting the rice fields in front of the Montgri. There’s also a stop at the Pals Mill, dedicated to rice since the 15th century. Everything with a guide that will explain you the process of elaborating the rice, from the sowing until the selling. The trip takes approximately 1:30h and its price is 12 euros for adults and 6 euros for children.
