Familiar campsite

Camping Empordà is a familiar campsite on the Costa Brava, next to the village of l’Estartit. Our facilities, services and the activities that we organize are aimed at family audiences, our wish it that children can enjoy their holidays in a fun and safe way.

Our animation team

There’s no time for boredom, because our animators and entertainers have prepared fun activities for all audiences. We have entertainment during the months of June, July and August. Outside of these months we do some specific activities.

By day Varied workshops, outdoor activities or inside the swimming-pool.

At night Live music, mini-discos or theme parties to enjoy the evening.

The beach of l’Estartit

The main attraction for families in l’Estartit is its great beach, 5 kilometres of fine sand. The shallow waters of the beach are ideal for the little ones to have fun on it safely.

During the summer months the beach of l’Estartit has a professional lifeguard service who watches over the busiest area. In the warmer months the beach also has a “mini-beach” service with workshops, activities and a reading area for children.

On the other hand, another of the main attractions of the Costa Brava are the Medes Islands. The Medes Islands are located in front of l’Estartit beach and they offer activities for all ages; for the little ones board the Nautilus to see the seabed or a traditional boat trip, and snorkel or kayak for those who are already a little older 😉 At reception we have information on all these activities.

Swimming pools

In a familiar campsite one of the facilities most valued by the children are the swimming pools. L’Estartit beach is one of the best ones in the Costa Brava, however there’s always time to enjoy our pools.

At the campsite we have a semi-olympic pool, 25 meters long and a small swimming pool not deep for children with a little water spout shaped like a dolphin for the young and not so young children.

Next to the pool you can see a large space with artificial grass, free sun loungers and chairs, and on the other side the bar terrace.

Sports Area

Our commitment as a familiar campsite includes a large area of sports. At the entrance of the campsite we have a basketball court, a mini-basketball court, a soccer court, a beach volleyball court, two petanque courts and two ping-pong tables. This area is fenced for the total safety of children, and has only one access. The facilities are free and exclusive for the customers of the campsite.

On the other hand you must also know that l’Estartit is located within the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, which offers a wide range of routes by bicycle and on foot. If you can’t bring your bike the campsite has a bike rental service. There are routes for all ages and levels!

Our mascot: Tinet !

During the 30th anniversary of the campsite, TINET arrived! It’s a type of heron or as we call it a “martinet ros”. Tinet is a bird that nests in the Medes Islands and weighs about 300 grams. Native to much of the Mediterranean coast, it loves the Medes Islands!

Tinet is part of many of the campsite’s entertainment activities, many workshops are inspired by it: puzzles, masks or drawings and murals. You can find him walking around the campsite with the animation team! 😉

Tinet Club, the place for the children

As a familiar campsite we can’t miss an exclusive room for children to play and spend time with our animators.

The Tinet Club is a place for games and workshops, where some of the animation activities that we propose take place. With all the comforts for painting, drawing or dancing, this space is very close to the bar and the swimming pools, so parents can leave their little ones playing safely while they enjoy a bath or take a drink on the terrace from the bar very close to there.

Children’s parks

At the campsite we have two playgrounds: the first and smallest one is located near the bar, and has a soft rubber floor ideal for playing on the floor.

We have two playgrounds where children can have some fun. One is next to the bar and the other is in the centre of the campground.
